Water and Power Development Authority WAPDA has announced a career opportunity for the position of General Manager (Security). The position is offered on a contract basis in BPS-20 for an initial period of three years, which may be extended annually based on performance and organizational requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting WAPDA’s top management in matters relating to the safety and security of key installations and projects across Pakistan. Duties include developing and implementing security SOPs, coordinating with law enforcement and other government agencies, and overseeing the internal security system of WAPDA.
The role also involves managing security personnel and resources, including weapons and ammunition, to ensure the protection of WAPDA’s assets. Additionally, the incumbent will serve ex-officio as Director General of the WAPDA Security Force.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must be retired Brigadiers or equivalent officers from the Armed Forces, preferably from the Fighting Arm, with experience in operational areas, particularly in counter-terrorism. Candidates must also be graduates of the Pakistan Staff College. The maximum age limit for the post is 55 years.
