Ministry of Water Resources is looking for qualified, committed, dynamic and experienced persons to fill up the vacant post. Ministry of Water Resources, Government of Pakistan, has opened applications for the prestigious position of Chairman WAPDA (Water and Power Development Authority). This is a contract-based appointment for a tenure of five years, targeting highly competent, experienced, and visionary individuals with leadership qualities and strong administrative capabilities.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet one of the following educational qualifications:

• A graduate degree in engineering from a university/institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC); or
• A master’s degree in business administration, management, public administration, finance, or an equivalent field, also recognized by HEC; or
• Membership in a recognized body of professional accountants; or
• Be a civil servant in BPS-21 or above, or an officer in an equivalent pay scale from the armed forces of Pakistan.

Experience Requirements:

Candidates must possess:

• A minimum of 25 years of professional experience, with at least 8 years in a senior managerial or administrative role.

Remuneration:

• For civil servants or armed forces officers: Pay will be based on BPS-22/MP-I Scale, with applicable allowances.
• If the appointee is not from the public sector, compensation will align with the MP-I Scale guidelines.
